Qingyan Ancient Town: One of the most famous historical and cultural towns in Guizhou Province, lies in the southern suburb of Guiyang. As an ancient town, covering an area of 741 acres, Qingyan Town was originally built in 1378. Nowadays, because of its long history and strong cultural atmosphere, Qingyan Ancient Town has become an attractive destination for numerous domestic and foreign tourists.
Jiaxiu Pavilion:Jiaxiu Pavilion sits on a huge rock in the Nanming River in the southern part of Guiyang, which is first built in the 26th year in the reign of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1598). It is a magnificent three-storied building 20-meter-high with three eaves and a pointed top, containing carved windows and red lattices and upturned eaves on all sides. Downstairs is the Floating Jade Bridge which spans both north and south banks.
Jiaxiu Tower : Also called the First Scholar's Tower. It is situated on Fuyu Bridge over the Nanming River. Originally built in 1598 in the Ming times, the tower is magnificent and unique, and of great culture significance in Guiyang. The tower is a 20-metre-high, three-floor structure with a three-eave hipped roof, and has its outer joinery propped up by 12 stone pillars. It is surrounded with a marble balustrade.
